Had to have the condenser replaced and unit recharged. Is there a screen I can purchase to stop this from reoccurring?

Driving down the road, to visit a friend for lunch... The LAST thing I would have imagined was my new car that I had ONLY OWNED FOR TWO WEEKS, that has TWO warranties- would break down. It starts overheating, so I pull over and as I exit theres green goo flying up on my windshield and I grabbed all my stuff prepared to jump out because I thought it was on fire. I get to a gas station and the auto repair place next door won't help me because it's still under factory warranty even though i purchased the extended warranty.... So, I wait two hours for a tow truck in the muggy heat, not to mention I am pregnant. It gets towed to the Ford dealership who happens to just conveniently close right before I get there. They called me in the morning to tell me that I hit a rock and it put a hole in the AC Condensor and it would be $1,125 to repair and my warranty DOES NOT COVER IT!!!! I am beyond pissed and was leary about buying a Ford in the first place and I WILL NOT be purchasing one again! This is a factory designed flaw, that should have never come out without something to guard it! It's like it's a wide open shot for a sling shot to a porcelain toilet... Just waiting to get smashed, so Ford can collect their money!

Who knew? Debris on our roads, certainly not Ford. Of course, for $900 a pop this will be a real money maker for Ford. Spend your money elsewhere!
