Escape SE 1.6L, 4 cyl

After only 27,647 miles, I needed my THIRD SET of back brakes and 2nd set of front brakes (includes original on auto). Dealer claimed my brakes were rusty and in need of repair (new pads and rotors). Very frustrating! Cost about $650.

Escape LS 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 22,991 miles

On 09/18/2017 I took my 3 year old with 22,762kms 2015 Ford Escape in for normal service. I complained that the brakes were not right - a noise. The Hollis Ford Tech wrote on the report "unable to duplicate" - and on the report he listed the brake linings as being 9mm and 8mm.

One year later the Escape has 37,000kms and when checked for inspection, they found the rotors badly rusted (I drive this vehicle every day) and the pads were now at 3mm all around - so 3 years of driving 22,762 kms and hardly any wear and then in 15,000km over 12 months the brakes go from 9/8 mm to 3mm. And they now tell me the lug nuts all have to be replaced - it was at the dealership on 09/28/17 to have all brakes replaced. So in 13 days and 900 kms the lug nuts failed.

I was also informed that my tires (I change tires in winter so actual mileage on THESE tire is about 20,000 or less) and they tell me my tires need to be replaced. So what I am getting at is just weeks after my 3 year manufacture warranty this vehicle with only 37,963kms (23,900miles) required new brakes and rotors all around, tires all around and lug nuts all around...
