Why are rodents attracted to the wiring? Chewed the electrical wires to the ambient air temp sensor. I have never in my 61 years had this happen to me. Buy a FORD, she says.

I have always had german or asian cars in the past. I have never had a problem with any of our other vehicles and rodents. For some reason they chose this car to nibble on the soy wires. Lower to the ground than Jeeps and Rams? I have had two weeks waiting to get a small wire repaired and there was blue painters tape in the engine! This car has never been out of my sight since we leased it brand new! Does this happen in Ford factories? Very disturbing experience all round.

I called Ford corporate and the regional gal said they said they only help out with lemon law. May I suggest Ford invests in manufacturing rodent deterrent electrical tape like Honda has? This is obviously an ongoing problem. Also I know rodents aren't covered under warranty but the material replacement should be. Especially if they have internal proprietary records showing this is an ongoing issue. I have felt very uncomfortable with this whole situation and sadly will be going back to a german car in December.
