Escape SE 1.5L

Ford had the problem of the coolant getting into the engine cylinder and destroying the engine long time ago. It is irresponsible for a car with 30,000 miles to have engine failure. There seems to have been recalls in earlier models but the problem continues to exist as I had an engine failure. There is no telling what effect this might have on the value of the car if someone were to do research using the VIN number. Ford ought to have fixed the problem when it first began rather than having the same problem occur over many years.

Escape 1.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 22,000 miles

Come on, 22000 miles on a new motor? They had to have the loaner car back, so I get there to exchange it. The new loaner had no brakes. I got car home after 5 weeks, and then there was big puddle of oil under the car. The rear main seal was bad, then after 2 more weeks got it back. I open hood, and the master cylinder was laying on top the motor - what a joke!!!
