Affected Component: EQUIPMENT
- Summary
- Some 2018-2020 vehicles equipped with the 8F24, 8F35, 8F40, or 8F57 transmissions may have a trace amount of transmission fluid in the main control electrical connector. This is due to the connector being submerged in transmission fluid during the main control manufacturing process. A trace amount should be considered normal and will not affect the function of the transmission. Do not attempt a repair for this condition. If more than a trace amount of fluid is found, follow normal diagnostics in the Workshop Manual(WSM), Section 307-01>Diagnosis and Testing>Leakage Inspection.
