- Summary
- Some 2022 Escape vehicles built on 01-Dec-2021 and through 30-Jun-2022 equipped with one-touch open driver window may exhibit a condition where the passenger rear door window is inoperative. The vehicle may also exhibit a rear door window motor overheating. This may be due to a continuous power supply of the driver door master window switch. To correct this condition, replace the driver door master window switch. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms > Removal and Installation. Let the affected window regulator motor to cool down for 1-2 minutes before operating the switch again. For claiming, use causal part 14529 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. Note: The window regulator motor has thermal protection designed into the motor and will not be damaged
