Purchased used ford gold cpo 2024 escape active with 3500 miles on it. Less than 2 days later and less than 500 miles later car brake pedal started making a creaking sound when depressed. Its super annoying and I have seen no other posts about this.
Its louder than it seems in the video and can be heard over music. At first thought the issue was the engine blowing up since it also has a known overheating issue.
This brake noise does not affect braking but is definitely displeasing.
Update from Feb 5, 2026: Creaky noise was the electronic brake booster according to dealership. Ford suggested they swap that part out but I will update if it was not resolved. I believe it was the electronic brake booster since all brake pedal pivots were greased
