Ongoing problem with transmission shifting at 30 and 40 mph. Hissing /pressure release/ scratching sound coming from left dash area near steering wheel.

Have taken this in several times now. Technicians said they heard it for sure during a ride along and that it wasnt normal. Couldn't fix after several attempts. Replaced solinoids and transmission casing.

Ford service engineer came out and said they heard it. Said even though it wasn't heard on any other 2013 Ford on the lot, that it was normal. Suggested I turn up the radio!

Ford corporate offered extended warranty, but that wouldn't fix the problem. After a day we received notice they closed our account. Called several times and nobody would return calls.

Lemon law attorney suggested we take to another dealership to see if they could resolve it. Almost the exact scenario has played out with the second dealership. (Dealerships have been great.....hands seem tied by corporate). Ford engineer this time said they already closed the account on my vehicle....like it doesn't exist, and said they won't reimburse the dealership for their costs.

Now my 2013 Explorer with 8500 miles is sitting there having not been worked on in four days while the dealership tries to get a response from Ford corporate.

Update from Jan 24, 2014: Recommended replacing the transmission. With lemon law attorney, Ford agreed to a buy back.
