My F-150 Platinum had the back glass shatter while it was being driven down the road on a nice sunny day. Unbelievable you pay $55,000 for a truck and this happens with only 20,000 miles on it. Kicker is the warranty dept at Ford has denied coverage for it. Last Ford my hard earned dollars will ever buy.
Have a new (2012) Ford F150. I recently noticed some marks on the windshield that did not go away while I was driving in the rain, using the wipers. When I got home, I got out and took a closer look only to find that there was several (around 6) small chips out of my front window and 2 small chips out of the front passenger side window. I don't recall anything hitting the windshield while driving although it would have been pretty small. Not sure if this is an issue with cheap or improperly manufactured glass or just bad luck. I only had the vehicle 5 months when I noticed this.
