Iwe system failure, this has been worked on multiple times. Yes it's distracting when it grinds all the time putting everyone safety at risk. The only way it stops is to turn it to 4H which need to slow down for. Yes dealership and shops are aware. Total 4 wheel drive failure and warning on dash (little wrench).
Backup Camera stopped working on [XXX] right before Ford issued a recall notice for a backup camera issue related to a software update, but this VIN is not included. This seems highly coincidental. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The vehicle is consuming oil at a 1 quart per 1100 mile rate. i have had it tested at a Ford dealer. there is Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 19-2365 for the year, make and model but Ford isnt offering a repair. The repair is approximately $14,000 that should not be the consumers responsibility. Please help get a recall issued.
While driving through an intersection, my truck unexpectedly shut down. An error message appeared on the dashboard stating: "Auto Start/Stop -?" Shift to P, then Restart Engine." I was in a lane with oncoming traffic at the time, so I had to come to a complete stop, shift the vehicle into park, and restart the engine. After restarting, the truck resumed normal operation and I was able to continue driving.
When driving for a hour ac shuts off and only blows warm air. Had everything tested and comes out perfect they can-??t find an issue. Happened multiple times but reporting the most recent

I spilled something on my passenger side front so removed my weathertech floor liner and noticed the carpet was wet with some mildew on it. Cleaned it up and let it air dry. Some time b later I b checked it again and it was more wet. Went online and saw a recall. Called dealer that has serviced my truck since I drove it off the lot. Why they hadn-??t told me about the recall. Was told it wasn-??t on the recall. They are telling me I have to pay to fix it. It-??s obvious it shouu I led have been included in this recall. For all I know I have mold and mildew under my carpet. This can not be good or healthy for b me and b my family.
2018 Ford F-150 with transmission problem. 10 Gears- jerking and pause between automatic shifting of gears, down shifting. Brought to Ford- needs a complete transmission. This truck has 75,000 miles and is not "Built Ford Tough". Ford tells me this is not a recall and denied my claim. This is a safety issue and is a big, known problem for Ford. The dealership is replacing 6 of them per week that are not part of a recall. This should be a recall. Shame on Ford Motors.
Background: I-??ve had my F150 for 7 years. For 6.x years though, the truck was operating with improper software in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) that managed the Emissions system-??s control and monitoring. This is according to the Ford Recall Notice in Feb 2025 (2E14) stating the above. To address the Recall, a Ford technician came to my house, performed the software recall update, and immediately afterwards, my check engine light came on. Days later, back at the Ford dealer, they charged me a $200 diagnostic fee, and concluded my Catalytic Converter was bad and needed replacement. And the $2000 repair would be my responsibility since my mileage was (now) over the Emissions Warranty limit. My question to them was: -??when did the Catalytic Converter fail-??? Dealer answer: Not sure. The old/incorrect software couldn-??t detect when it went bad. My comment: So the Converter may have failed in year 1,2, 3, 4 or 5 (still in warranty term) and just not flagged it back then" Dealer Answer: It-??s possible, no way to know for sure. Point is: There-??s a good chance the part actually -??failed-?? during the warranty period. How can Ford logically assign responsibility to me when the software was -??incorrect-?? for 6 years?" I DON'T LIKE DRIVING A TRUCK THAT'S POLLUTING MORE due to a failed Catalytic Converter, but the dealer wasn-??t able to explain why it failed AFTER the warranty period. I feel that Ford should replace the Converter at their cost since the point of failure was most likely during warranty, but never triggered due to the defective/recalled software that the Truck had for it's entire life. There are online people saying similar. Got the recall done, then was told they needed a $2000 repair to the Converter. I suppose many will just continue to drive with the non functioning catalytic converter.
Ford issued recall 24E12 for a PCM reprogramming for my 2018 Ford F-150 for an emissions issue. A dealership completed the recall on 4/15/25. Approximately one month later, check engine light comes on and dealership now says we need a new catalytic converter. Upon research, this exact issue has been happening with many others who did the reprogramming.
This vehicle has and co tones to have the back up display freezing while in reverse - it has been unsuccessfully addressed at dealerships on multiple occasions. The current recall on this issue needs to be added to more model years, this is not a new problem with ford
My back up camera barely works now. Most of the times that I back up the screen is blue or black. Very rarely it will work. I brought it into my local for dealer and they said moisture somehow got into the sealed connector and started corroding the metal in there making it a bad connection. They told me I needed a new wire harness for over $500 and I don-??t have the money to fix it. So now my back up camera is just broke.
I was stopped at a stop sign and then proceeded to press the gas and turn into the far lane. A quarter to halfway through the turn the engine shut off and I got the message -?? Auto StartStop Shift to P, then Restart Engine-??. Had to put the vehicle in park in the middle of the road and restart the engine. Luckily no one was coming but if there had been I could have been hit.
My [XXX] daughter and friend were driving our F150 lariat super crew cab 3.0 deisel which to our knowledge was in excellent condition. The driver behind her frantically pulled them over as the rear underneath of the truck was on fire. They immediately pulled over and within several minutes the entire truck burned to the ground. Luckily the girls were safe, although very shaken. There were no warning lights on the dash and the smoke was behind the truck. Had their not been a car behind them on the country highway, who knows what could have happened to the girls. APIM - Accessory Protocol Interface Module Failed reprogramming for a current software version update Local mechanic as well as Ford Dealership recommended module replacements
When accelerating to highway speeds, my truck downshifts a gear or 2. This has been happening for the past year since I purchased the truck. When I try to accelerate to 60 MPH from 50 it is really hesitant after downshifting.
APIMs failed. Will not reset, will not update, will not synch, will not function. Loss of GPS, 911 Assist, and all electronic functions. Other warning and rear view options unavailable. This loss of control of driver assisted functions limits safety and interaction features. Stems from 7 February update and software not removing old files. Verified by dealer, only way to fix software is to replace hardware at $1200 per part.
I received a recall on my 2018 F-150 to update / reprogram the PCM. The truck had been running well and had not had any check engine lights on (at least since I have owned it). The recall work was done at a local Ford dealer on 2-17-2025. On [XXX], the check engine light came on. The truck was taken to a local mechanic who scanned the code and said it indicated that one of the catalytic converters needed replaced. The light went out about a week later, but came back on [XXX]. I believe the check engine light coming on is related to / caused by the recall in which the PCM was updated. I contacted the service department where the recall work was performed. He said the dealership could scan the check engine code, but it would cost $200-$300 and I would be responsible for that cost. After reading about many similar cases online in which other people believe the recall work has now caused check engine codes indicating there is a problem with the catalytic converter(s). I contacted FORD customer service and opened a case (case # [XXX] ). I was told by the dealer that the truck could go into limp mode at any point and would be basically undrivable at that point and potentially cause a dangerous situation - especially in traffic or if towing a trailer. I am getting no where with the dealer or FORD customer service. I believe the problem has been caused by the recall in which the PCM was updated. I would greatly appreciate this concern being investigated. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
We received a recall letter for Emission recall dealing with the system reading that the catalytic converter is bad. We had this happen a year ago, and had to have the catalytic converter replaced because it was showing it was bad. This recall letter says that it will show it-??s bad, but may not be bad. We spent almost $3000 because we live in a state with inspections. This letter shows that it was the computer that messed up. We are trying to deal with Ford to see if we can get reimbursed since there-??s a recall on the chip. The recall is emission recall 24E12. The work wouldn-??t have needed done if the chip wouldn-??t had shown the catalytic converter was bad.
