This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Right side mirror is made of flat glass instead of curved glass. The field of view on the right side is so limited that I believe it could cause a crash when merging or changing lanes. Every other vehicle I have driven in recent years had a curved glass, wide angle mirror on the right side.
Bottom half of both, inside and outside rearview mirrors do not adjust. It makes it impossible to see the vehicle next to consumer's vehicle. Dealer says they can do nothing.
Unable to use vehicle for intended purpose of pulling a travel trailer. Don't feel safe pulling a trailer when wide angle mirrors are "non-adjustable". it's ridiculous to have non-adjustable mirrors on a vehicle! dealer informs it's a design item; not warranty.
The left and right convex mirrors that are standard on this truck are not adjustable. The left mirror looks at the left rear tire. The right mirror is a bit better. It is difficult, if not impossible to use these mirrors safely when passing, or being passed when I am towing my 5th wheel travel trailer.
My Ford F250 is equipped with a towing package to tow a fifth wheel trailer. The towing mirror is my complaint. There is a large mirror on top and a smaller parabolic mirror on the bottom of the mirror frame. The upper mirror is adjustable, but the parabolic mirror is not adjustable and you cannot see anything out of it except for the rear tires of the pickup and the ground. If I were about 5 feet tall it would work great, but I am 6'1'' and cannot see anything out of it that will help me see the trailer or the traffic behind me. I have contacted my dealer, the Ford dealers in tucson, AZ and the Ford Motor Company and have gotten no satisfactory answer. The mirror needs to be adjustable for persons of different heights. Is there anything I can do at this time to remedy this situation.
