Almost lost control of truck at only 45 mph on city street. I had to slow to 20 to stop wobble.

F-250 Lariat 6.2L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 9,547 miles

Upon contacting a Ford service center, we were informed that Ford is aware of the issue, but they do not have the parts to fix. The wobble is uncontrollable regardless of the speed. The bouncing produced intensifies the risk of car crash. At this point, I am unwilling to use my new pickup to pull my horses anywhere. Ford needs to address this issue IMMEDIATELY!!!

F-250 Lariat 6.7L Power Stroke

  • Automatic transmission

Drove to Green Bay to move my daughter back home. Drove up there with no trailer, and experienced the issue twice with just minor shaking that stopped without slowing down. On the way back, we experienced it several times over the 900 miles of pulling a loaded uhaul trailer and a motorcycle in the bed of the truck. It was very unnerving not knowing whether it would happen on every bump over the trip, especially through PA up and down mountains, winding left to right with semi trucks in both lanes. Today I hit a bump at 60 mph and the truck shook violently with major vibration and did not stop until I slowed down to 15mph.

If this would have happened to this degree yesterday on the mountains of PA with a loaded truck and trailer, I am confident it would not have turned out well hitting brakes while trying to control truck and trailer with semi trucks adjacent or behind. It would have without a doubt made the news.

This issue is widely talked about and experienced by a lot of owners at this point, even with trucks with little to no miles.

I heard of the issue but never experienced it before. Never had a problem with Fords before, with a 1997 F250, 2005 Excursion, 2005 F250, and a 2016 F250 - but I do now with this 2019 F250.

I have a 2019 F250 4x4 with only 18K miles - it has been great, until the last Friday of April, when I was making a turn and hit a small hole that caused my truck to go into a wobble I couldn't control! When I am driving down the interstate and hit a bump, the truck seems loose and slides! For what we pay for these trucks, we shouldn't encounter these issues.

Death wobble occurred at highway speed. The left front tire hit a small pothole and entire front end started to shake. I took foot off accelerator, slowed and lightly applied brake until shaking stopped. 60 mph down to 30 mph.

F-250 Lairit 6.7L Diesel

  • Automatic transmission

Brand new truck top of the line 80K and 300 miles of driving in the first 2 days the dealer had to replace a drag link saying it was too loose, the problem is a little better but still a problem. After thinking I can't be the only one I was shocked to hear this is a known problem with Fords, I traded in my GMC after 11 years and now thinking it was a mistake to switch to Ford. I can't believe Ford hasn't fixed this problem with all the chatter on the internet about the "death Wobble" wow what a cluster. The dealer even added that Ford spent over a billion dollars designing this truck to get it right. They should have taken lessons from Land Rover when they owned them for a while, on my 4 one in 15 years at 100,000 miles drives like new.
