CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Fusion builds off the 2010's reputation. That's not a good thing.
The first thing that jumps out is the ridiculous amount of power steering complaints. It grinds, it squeals, and it eventually just fails.
And if losing power steering isn’t enough for you, how about a sudden loss of engine power? That combination is enough to achieve clunker status.

Takata recall: Recall for passenger side. Received recall letter in July, latest estimate to replace defective part is June, or six months of limited use of our primary vehicle. #2 car is not dependable and with poor mileage. We can not go anywhere as a family unless we rent a car. In short this is costing us money. What can we do to get our Fusion fixed, so it will be safe?

The letter stated that I would get a call or email telling me when to taky care for repairs I have not heard anything else.also my steering has gone out in my car I can not get anyone to tell me why they just keep saying I can fix it. Its becoming to the point were I can't drive. What do I need to
Takata recall two months ago, I received recall notice indicating inflation of the passenger side airbag could cause severe injury or death. Neither Ford nor NHTSA have acted in a responsible manner in that Ford is still waiting for parts and cannot estimate when parts will be available. Considering inflation can cause "serious injury or death", there is no honest guidance by either Ford nor NHTSA other than keep driving. I intend to copy this to my two senators and my house representative.
