CarComplaints.com Notes: Power steering problems started rearing their ugly head in the 2010 Fusion, so you'd think Ford had plenty of time to make sure those problems didn't creep into the 2012. But here we are.

The Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) is a mess. It fails at an alarming rate. Don’t believe us? Take a look at NHTSA’s data on the subject.

And much like the power steering, we’re still seeing the same throttle body failures that started in 2010 continue in 2012.

I was literally sitting completely still in the drive thru line at Chik Fil A and I hear a loud noise that sounded like a gun shot. I had no idea what had just happened. I couldn't figure it out. I left the drive thru line and looked around my car and did not see anything. Started driving home and it started raining. I then realized what had happened. That loud noise was my rear windshield shattering! It stayed in one piece. Looked like a big puzzle. There were no holes, the rear defrost was not on. It just shattered! Now Ford refuses to fix it. Says its not covered under warranty. REALLY!!!! You sell me a brand new car with a defective rear window and you make ME pay for it??? I will never buy another Ford and their customer service sucks! Pretty much made me feel stupid, like I did not know what I was talking about. Stay away from Ford...............

Had car for 2 weeks with only 900 miles on it. It was in the garage all night and when I got in it to go to work in the morning I shut my driver's door and the back windsheild shattered and then fell in. Nothing had hit it, it was in a secure garage overnight. I called the dealer that morning and I am now awaiting to hear what Ford is going to do about it!!!
