CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.
In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?

When trying to start the car I received a error stating that 'No Key is Detected'. (this car has an actual key you put into the ignition) I followed trouble shooting by replacing the remote battery, ($7 dollars) disconnecting the car battery for 20 minutes, verified the battery had 12.8 volts and tested good at Autozone. Had to have my car towed to Ford ($85), get a rental car ($70) just to have them call the next day and say the car started with no issued. The computer reported a code of low voltage.
Ford tested the battery and alternator, everything checked out as working perfectly. After checking the electrical system for loose wires, corrosion, frayed wires..... seems to lead to that this is an programming issue withing the computer. Not sure what else would cause the computer to detect low voltage and cause the: 'No Key Detected' and low voltage error.
Are there any solutions for this issue? Does Ford update software when you have recalls service/ (recent one I had fixed was for the cooling system and they made changes to the programming of the computer)
If this happens while driving...... not sure this is safe and I see other post with this happening
