CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2011 Honda Accord has a solid reputation (so far), with one very significant flaw: uncomfortable seats.

Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight.

The common theme we hear is "never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

This is my Mom's car. What a piece of junk.I did'nt want to mention the problem to my mother an stress her out. I feel like she has been ripped off this will be the last car she will buy her life time. And now I have to worry about hearing her complain about the new transmission she has to buy in a year from now.Or worse yet how she crashed into someone because the car surged as she was coming to a stop.More people need to find this site . The transmission is a huge problem I'am very disappointed, thats alot of money mom spent for junk!

While just about to stop in a parking stall at a local market, my 2011 Accord Coupe suddenly jerked forward as if the throttle had been floored. I jump a curb and hit a tree. I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. Honda, after insisting I fix the car, did an "inspection" which consisted of driving the car 6 miles and checking the brakes. They said the could not replicate the problem. I never got in the car again and gave it back to the dealer at a loss. I tried to impress upon Honda that, when someone is already in a parking stall and just getting ready to turn off the ignition, the driver is feathering the brake. They obviiously didn't believe me, even when I asked why any driver in that circumstance would jam either pedal to the floor, brake or accelerator. They did not take the totality of the circumstances into account at all.

I am writing this because this sudden acceleration problem is REAL, and it's not yesterday's issue. There is a problem with electronic throttles that the industry as a whole is not owning up to. This is a very dangerous and traumatic problem. I hope someone wakes up to it before more people are injured or killed.
