I thought Honda fixed this issue with a recall they had on the starter issue. Luckily I purchase a extended warranty or it would be $600 out of pocket expense for me, I think Honda should replace this starter free of charge if they known this issue in the past.

2016 Honda Accord Touring V6 sedan

My Starter failed on me on February 5, 2020, and Honda of Chula Vista replaced my starter with a new one. Thankfully I purchase a 100,000 miles warranty or I would have been out of pocket for the repair. A year later my new starter failed again and sense it was past the year the warranty on the new starter is done so I will have to use my 100,000 miles warranty again and pay the deductible of $100 to get the starter replaced again but I'm not going threw that again I will be selling my accord and buying other brand, Honda of Chula Vista and Honda customer service is very confusing.

The service manager at Honda of Chula Vista told me duplicate the problem in from of him but the starter problem does it randomly so I could not duplicate the issue. So he asked me to do a video when the starter is having the issue so I did a video and I did two videos on two different days showed Honda Chula Vista and Honda customer service and they said they can't go by the video I need to bring it in and duplicate the problem, I talked to a friend that was a Honda technician here in San Diego and and he told me that Honda build there cars with the crappiest starters, I remember that the 2015 and 2016 Accord V6's had the same issue and Honda did a recall on them, Honda claimed the problems was fixed but it's not I'm going on a second failed starter that I bought new from Honda Genuine Parts.
