I noticed some peeling paint on the front panel just below the grill on my white 2009 Honda CRV. When I looked closely, I could see 4 different spots where the paint was peeled back, not just scratched, but actually peeled back. I could see the black coloring of the panel underneath where the paint had peeled off. I knew it had to have happened within the prior two days and I went over in my mind where I had been and where I had parked trying to figure out how this had happened. I finally decided that it had to have been at work when I parked near some hedges (bushes). My best guess is that the hedges scraped against the front panel of the car and caused the paint to peel back. I would have expected it to scratch the paint, but, I would not have expected it to peel it completely off. I had a 1996 Ford Explorer that I drove until I got the 2009 Honda CRV, and I never had a problem with the paint peeling off of it. I've got to believe there is some issue with the paint process they are using on the Hondas now. It certainly will make me think twice about buying another Honda.
