Listen I didn't get on here to bit--. I want the noise and the engine fixed, and they said way back when we complaint about the loud noise it was nothing. Now it is something, because many people did the same and have been told that it was nothing. The loud rattle every time we start the motor or have to now put oil in the engine every couple weeks. It's a problem for the atmosphere and the wasteful amount of oil being used and very loud when you start the car next to someone who doesn't know it going to make this horrendous noise. I hate to think of the damage it is doing to some other parts. Please consider making them fix this issue after many years of being lied to about the problems. I sure it even affects the mileage and that in itself is another problem.

On 11/12/2019 my wife informed me that the Check Engine light was on. I made an appointment with Turnersville Honda to check it out and to do an oil change. I picked the car up the next day and was informed that there was no oil in the engine and that the engine could be bad. I asked how this could happen and they said that it was burning oil and they would have to strip down the engine to find out. They striped the engine down and found out that the Timing Chain had stretched and the guides had broken and the cylinders were scored. Only repair was to replace the engine.

I sent over the documentation, which showed every oil change was done to Honda's specifications. (Once a year or when the vehicle notifies you).

I received a quote for $7451.55. Honda agreed to pay a portion. I had to pay over $3000 to replace the engine.

Our 2012 Honda CRV at around 45,000 miles began to over consume oil from one O+F job to the next by 2 quarts each time. I am not happy about this and all I get from the dealer is that is normal. I call it a load of bull for a new model car that is consuming oil at that mileage, I could see it if it was 100,000 and with today's technologies and advance's I believe we should not see this at this mileage. I will definitely not buy another Honda after this. I guess it is back to my other choice Toyota were we had better results. We have had five different ones and had exceptional luck and we thought we would try a CRV because of the reviews. The only good thing is there seems to be a little more room in the Honda than the Toyota and there comparable models.

I recently discovered a class action lawsuit against Honda for excessive oil consumption. I noticed my vehicle was NOT on list, however I am constantly adding oil to my car, every week to be exact. I don't want to pay to fix this if it is something covered under this lawsuit.

This has been a problem since I have owned the vehicle. I bought it the latter part of 2015, I think. At first it was not bad or that noticeable. Now it is bad and I add oil weekly and have to check my oil before I go anywhere everyday. It is a pain in the ass. This vehicle should be included in the lawsuit and fixed properly.
