Check engine light came on. took to mechanic who diagnosed problem with purge valve. Replaced with aftermarket purge valve but continues to intermittently come on. Rechecked and replaced solenoid valve on EVAP system too but problem still reoccurs intermittently. It goes out, I suspect, because of a certain number of key cycles but comes back on eventually. Yes...I did replace the gas cap. I am ordering a Honda OEM purge valve and installing to see if check engine light goes out and stays out.

Yes, the EVAP systen was checked for leaks with a smoke machine and none were detected.

Hoping an original equipment purge valve from Honda will rectify the problem permanently.
