UNACCEPTABLE - $30,000 for a vehicle that vibrates at 50-6ph. Steering wheel, passenger seat shakes - at a stop or when back in drive. Do not even need need to accelerate - just goes on its own. Purchased out of showroom - such a beautiful car to look at. I look at it daily as it has only left the garage to go back to dealer. 4th time back next Thursday - dealer will do nothing.

Going for lemon law and lawsuit - whichever works. It now has little over 200 miles on it - never goes anywhere-yes 200 since December 2014....... Asked dealer to call my attorney - no call....Go to Youtube or internet - shows exactly the problem under "vibrations 2015 Honda CR-V". You see it all and Honda is still selling these things. They have no fix..

I have filed complaints with every agency I can think of. These things are not safe. Such a distraction. these are BUYER BEWARE. My first Honda and my last!!! I am considering getting a bumper sticker to save others from what I have gone thru. Yes, I am griping, ranting and yelling to no avail. Filing my complaints and legal action seem to be my only option.

In the meantime, I will keep taking it back to the dealer every few weeks and look at it sitting in my garage every time I go out to get into my good cars - a 2006 Town and Country van and a 2009 Ford Escape. This is what I get for buying my first crappy foreign car. May those who make and sell these Hondas pay for continuing to deceive the public.......

Update from Nov 7, 2015: Since 12-14 have taken 2015 honda crv back to dealer 7 times - time #6, software was installed to fix vibration - visit #7, same problem. Car has about 1500 miles on it, yes 1500 miles since 12-14. No satisfaction from dealer or honda. Vibration, vibration, vibration. Unacceptable!!!!!

There is a vibration when the vehicle is idling such as waiting at a stop light. It starts out with the steering wheel vibrating and then transfers to the seats. It seems to be improving a little as the vehicle is now over 1 month old, but still noticable. I have not taken it into the dealer yet, but plan to do so soon.

Kudos to the lady in Ca. Who filed the class action. I took mine to arbitration and of course lost. The vibration is present all the time, Honda rep attributed it to road conditions. Biggest problem with mine is it's inconsistent. Present all the time but isn't at its worst under the same conditions. Sometimes it's worse idling, when accelerating, 1800-2200 rpms, one never knows. And at times the vibration is just slightly noticeable. Yes, it's a pain in the ass. No car should run like that. And Honda has the gall to say this is normal.

At least now Honda can't say they never buy them back. It just shows what steps one need to take to get it done. But this is Honda's "Customer Care". Their concern for customer satisfaction.

Update from Nov 6, 2015: Took my complaint to arbitration, what a joke. Factory rep acknowledged the vibration when vehicle was stopped and idleing, but they (rep and arbitrator) said the vibration while driving was just road conditions. Honda tried to say the vibration was within normal parameters. Who set those parameters...Honda? The roads we drove on during the test drive were not rutted or bad in any way. The vibration was constant, and worse at times depending on speed. The mechanic felt it the first time I took back to dealer because it chuddered going up a hill.

I was so frustrated with the whole experience, I will never buy another Honda and we got rid of the CRV. I purchased Jan 30 and traded June 12 at a loss of almost $5500. As we tried to explain at the arbitration to no avail, when something vibrates, it will eventually loosen something else, which to me is a safety hazzard, not to mention how extremely annoying the issue is. If a person would not drive over 30MPH they might not notice since all cars have a slight vibration of some sort, but that's not the way people drive. Yes, Honda knew about the issue and chose not to divulge it until almost a year after the model was released.

This is a repeat of what I had already reported about the vibration in idle when engine rpm drops to 500-600 rpm---I was sent your email about the class action suit, so wanted to reiterate how serious and annoying this issue is. Honda needs to address immediately. I am completely in agreement with everyone who has complained and did bring to dealers attention immediately in December/January and was basically brushed off with a "we don't know what you are talking about and I was the first--LOL--person to complain"--DISGUSTING!!!!

I am sure word has gotten out about this issue so BUYER BEWARE--I wish I had read about the issue before purchasing the vehicle as certainly would not have purchased it. It is a shame as otherwise I have no complaints otherwise but this is such a major problem that it overrides the good things about the vehicle. I hope there is eventually a fix or replacement of transmission on these affected vehicles and although may not be a danger it is sickening literally when doing a lot of stop and go driving.

Honda has offered us $23,500 to use only for another Honda for our 2015 Honda CRV Touring model which has had this problem since we bought it for well over $30,000. We know this is not fair. I wish the sales woman told me there was a problem with the CVT transmission in the new 2015 Honda CR-V's before I gave them $25,000 for this piece of junk, because I would have just walked out without buying it.

When I brought it back to them because of the vibration in the car at low speeds after the car reached operating temperature she said it was a characteristic of the car, so I guess she already knew there was a problem. How come the car rides beautiful until it warms up? Then it starts vibrating at low speeds about 20MPH and after you get up to about 30-35MPH it stops.

I looked up the word characteristic in the dictionary and it says its the quality of an object. SOME QUALITY!

Called Honda USA they said there is a problem with the transmission and are working on the fix. Its been about a month now, no fix yet and there probably won't be. Once they have your money who cares. You think they would stop selling them until they get it right but they don't, to much money involved. I've owned 1 Honda Accord, and 3 other Honda CR-V's and they all were excellent vehicles.

Nice way to treat a loyal Honda customer. I wish I could get my money back because I would never buy another HONDA again. And believe me if anyone asks me how much I like my new car I'll let them know what its like and tell them to go look at other vehicles because there is no quality in Honda anymore. Imagine spending $25,000 for a brand new car and your not happy driving it and you don't feel safe in it. And all that the dealer, and Honda USA keep saying is sorry for the inconvenience. I'm sorry I spent $25,000. Tomorrow I'll tell you about the problem with the brakes that started a few days ago.

Update from Jun 2, 2015: Just an update. Honda USA customer service called me to tell me that there is nothing wrong with my car so they closed out my complaint with them. So all you people out there that filed complaints with Honda USA they are not going to fix your car. The bull that the dealers keep telling you that Honda is working on a fix to the problem is just more BULL S***!!!

I am extremely disappointed with the engine performance of 2015 Honda CR-V. I have entrusted Honda engineering after driving 2003 Honda Accord. The CVT transmission in the new 2015 Honda should be called “Continuous Vibration Transmission”. The power train sends vibrations to the whole car practically all the time! You will feel the steering wheel vibrations when accelerating, when stopped in traffic, when driving on the highway against the wind. It looks that by trying to optimize the engine for gasoline consumption Honda entirely overlooked driver’s experience. How it is, that such basic expectation as vibration-free drive was not considered important!

I have purchased this car in March 2015 and complained about the vibration issue few days later. Honda Canada is telling me that they work on the issue however the timeline is not clear. When someone tests drive the car, make sure it is fully warmed up. In normal operating temperature the engine computer will try to keep the RPM very low which causes the power train sending vibrations to the seats and steering wheel. You will also hear it.

Update from Jun 2, 2015: When I stop in traffic the vibration is so strong that I get sick to my stomach. I have to switch gear to neutral to stop the vibration. I definitely cannot drive this car. If Honda cannot fix the issue I will request to exchange this car for the vehicle that does not vibrate.

When stopped in traffic the car vibrates. For $30,000+ this should not happen.

The deal says it happens on new ones on the lot, like that makes it ok! This is a universal issue and I have no idea how the care won Motor Trend Car of the Year!! Oh yes advertising dollars perhaps?

Do not by this till they fix it.

I AM BASICALLY DRIVING A $30,000 VIBRATOR! THE CAR VIBRATES IN GEAR AT ALL STOPS AND WHEN IN MOTION AT 1000-2000 RPM. IT IS REALLY A PAIN AND HONDA NEEDS TO FIX THIS! GO TO ANY COMPLAINT SITE, INCLUDING KELLY BLUE BOOK AND YOU WILL FIND MANY MORE CRV OWNERS THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM! HONDA FELT THE NEED TO CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION TO SAVE FUEL. ALL I AM GETTING IS VIBRATION AND NO CHANGE IN FUEL MILEAGE. I TRADED IN A 2012 CRV THAT WAS FUN TO DRIVE, BUT I FEEL THIS WILL BE MY LAST ONE! PLEASE HONDA- FIX THIS!

Minor vibration around 2000 rpm. More noticeable on easy acceleration. Not evident on firm acceleration.

Dealer has had several new owners come in with same issue. Technician verified the issue during test drive but said no repair is warranted. He said Honda may issue a bulletin and a software 'fix' but for now the is no damage being done to transmission.

Update from May 10, 2015: Progress. ...Just viewed video release from Honda acknowledging the vibration problem. They state they are aware and working on it. https://youtu.be/a6K6JPh7zak

Update from Nov 25, 2015: Honda came out with a fix for the vibration. Took mine into dealer. They installed the new software and vehicle now runs fine.

Not sure if it an ENGINE problem, or a TRANSMISSION problem, but the CRV definitely has vibrations issues, especially when driving it at lower speeds. It feels like a manual transmission car that is severely lugged as a result of being in TOO high of a gear. The vibrations is very proncounced at a stop, while the engine is running, and in DRIVE, with foot on the brake pedal.

I have noticed that having headlights on helps a bit, i.e. it raised the idle speed slightly, with the engine apparently in a smoother running range. Also, already with this new car, I find myself putting into NEUTRAL at stoplights; that also diminishes vibration in the steering wheel, floor, and seat back. I suspect that the vibes are do to a combination of 1) a poorly balanced engine, and 2) a transmission that tends to shudder a bit. I see no solution to this other than new engine mounts of some sort, or at the very least, raise the idle speed. A disappointment, as I am a big Honda fan (I owned 2 Civic previously with 4 cylinder engines...both very smooth).

Just bought a Honda CRV 2015 EX-L. After driving it for one day experienced serious vibrations in driver and passenger seat while driving and even more intense when idling. Extremely distracting almost causing an accident. I cannot drive in this car.

Honda dealer and Honda America has acknowledged this problem with the new CRVs (not all- its random) but do not have a solution. Some dealers have actually refunded customers and exchange cars to customer satisfaction. Its the right thing to do. They should be applauded. Not mine. They wont exchange or refund.. I will be miserable every day in this car. Saw there is a potential class action suit since so many customers from 2015 have been affected and Honda has acknowledged. The dealer should do the right thing and exchange for one that doesn't vibrate. I test drove a different one which was totally fine but the dealer had one driven to his location to sell me.

Shame on Honda AND the dealer for continuing to sell this faulty car. Fix the damn thing before you release an inferior product for 31K. Its disgusting and I hope my dealer comes to his senses like some of the others. There have been 80,000 complaints on this 2015 model.

I got a 2015 Honda CR-V EX in November 2014 and I noticed an annoying vibration upon smooth acceleration, between 1000 and 1500 RPM. I had not noticed this problem on the demo I test drove, otherwise, I would have kept my 2012 CR-V.

Brought my car back to the dealer to have it checked one week after I got it. The technician told me that Honda Canada was aware of the problem that affects several 2015 CR-Vs and that the manufacturer was working on a fix as a priority. I hope they come up with a fix fairly soon as I find this problem quite annoying. If they cannot fix this, my next car might not be a Honda!

Update from Feb 25, 2015: I also notice that vibration when stopped at a red light and engine is idling at around 500 RPM.

Update from Mar 3, 2016: Finally got the vibration problem fixed at the dealer. My CR-V is now running good with no vibrations. They replaced engine mounts, head rests, trunk door cylinders, radiator mounts and they reprogrammed the computer. I had to agree to an increased fuel consumption of .3 liters/100 Km, which is very negligible (signed a form to that effect).

Car has vibration/shuttering, dealer did detect same issue. We also drove another AWD and we noticed it there also. The dealer spoke to Honda USA and they said they are aware of complaints on this. They advised him to hook up his laptop and set up certain programs, we went for another drive. As soon as we detected the vibration we recorded it on the laptop. This was sent to Honda on 1-6-15. Waiting for a answer on this.
