Just picked up my new Honda CRV 2015 EX AWD. Noticed first time into work that after warm up there was a shuddering/vibration when accelerating lightly. Very annoying and thought something wrong. Took back to dealer and service manager went for test drive and said it was normal! Since it only occurs after warm up did not notice it during the test drive. Still waiting for my sales person to check out. If this can't be fixed I may have to take legal action to return the vehicle.

Our 2015 Honda CRV is still at the Honda service department (has been there for over 2 weeks). The car shudders/vibrates significantly upon acceleration. It occurs at all speeds. Comments from the Honda service department so far are as follows: 1) There is a problem with the transmission with some of the 2015 CRV's. Honda is aware of the problem but has not come up with a fix. 2) Mentioned something about a possible software patch. 3) The car is safe to drive.

The service manager tried to suggest the shuddering is normal. However, we got from a member of his staff that the car should not behave like this and that there is a issue with the transmission (left a voice mail with the info).

Issues: -- If Honda is aware of a transmission problem, they should either disclose it or not sell a car with the problem. Will need to follow up on my recourse. -- This car will be difficult for resale. It appears that there is something wrong (I thought it was the engine). -- We can tell a potential buyer that Honda says that it is safe to drive but the shuddering will lead a person to believe otherwise. -- The shuddering/vibration is very disconcerting and gets on a person's nerves.

Vibrates when you let up on gas then accelerate. My CR-V idles around 600-800, drove my friend's brand new. His was a lot less noticeable and his rpm never go lower than a 1000. Can't stand it.

I bought the car in PA in December 2014. The car vibrates at 2000 rpm at 40 mph, and at 1000 rpm at 10-20 mph. Honda should issue a recall for this car because it is a very common problem.

I took out a 2015 CR-V demonstrator with a CVT (transmission) for a test drive and as with other 2015 CR-V owners, I experienced a shuddering/vibration at about 40km/hr. The salesman suggested that we could change to another CR-V. I declined. We have a 2007 CR-V with 5 speed auto purchased new and it runs without problem. I wanted to add a second CR-V for our family but am now changing my mind.

Is there a solution to this vibration problem?

Update from Jun 3, 2015: Having seen that Honda acknowledges the vibration problem and still doesn't have a solution and subsequently reading about numerous other 2015 CR-V owners dissatisfaction with the vibration, I resolved my problem by not buying a 2015 Honda CR-V and purchased a 2015 Toyota RAV-4. We've had 3 Honda vehicles previously in our family with pride and reliability and Honda's vibration problem is something that I could not live with. Sorry Honda, welcome Toyota.

I've had 7 Honda's. Traded a 2013 CR-V for this because I like the CR-V concept. Big mistake. Terrible vibration under 2000 rpm and Honda doesn't have a fix for it. They say it's software and may take months to correct. This will be my last Honda if they soon don't correct it.

My2015 Honda CR-V has had a vibration problem from the start'. It happens around 2000 rpm's and most notable at 40 mph. I have taken it to the dealer and they admit there is a problem. They reported it to Honda but cannot do anything till Honda puts out a fix (if they ever do). I also test drove another brand new CR-V and it had the same problem.

After browsing the internet I have notice some others are having the same problem, this seems to be with the new CV-T transmission. There is also a noticeable vibration when you are stopped with the brake on. We will see if they come out with a fix before the transmission falls out. I am glad I took the 100000 mile warranty.
