Owned this vehicle just over a year now. The AC compressor went out at 1 yr due to damage from gravel. Entire console gets dangerously hot when heat is on. Radio reception is nonexistent when rear defrost is on. Driver's window is automatic. I can click twice for it to go down all the way and vice versa, but when I click for it to go up all the way it gets about 2 inches from the top and rolls all the way back down. The hole and screw holding the key faab together was so tiny and so horribly placed that the plastic around the screw was so weak it broke so I had to superglue it shut and now the key faab doesn't work at all. Replacement cost is ridiculous! ($250)

I am so frustrated with Honda, Why did I even buy an extended warranty? So I go into Honda the other day wondering why my A/C is not working and being only 2 years old. Well after a while they finally said, "oh a rock hit your condenser, and by the way that will not be covered under your warranty." And its going to be $650, are you serious? I am determined for Honda to pay for this. I looked at my condenser after talking to them and it does not even look like it has been hit, plus why would you put such a sensitive part in the front with hardly any protection? Either Honda is paying for this or Im getting my extended warranty money back, either way hell is going to be raised

I bought my vehicle from Stockton Honda on February 18, 2007. 1 year and 4 months later my air conditioning stopped working. I was told by the 'service adviser' that a rock must have hit my condenser, caused the freon to leak and therefore caused the air conditioning unit to not operate. From what I've been reading, I understand that Honda must have trained their service employees to say this to EVERY Honda owner if their air conditioning unit has ceased to operate. This is highway robbery to EVERYONE who has bought Hondas. I've had old cars whose air conditioning NEVER went out for 10 years or more and were never serviced. You pay for these EXPENSIVE EXTENDED WARRANTIES....WHAT'S THE USE!? You buy new cars so that you aren't stuck out on the road. What happened to Honda's reliability? Might as well by a Hyundai!

I am writing you concerning the problem I am having with my 2007 Honda Civic. I bought my car TWO months ago and my air conditioning went out. On June 27, 2007, I brought it to the dealership where I bought the car from. The service representative and the service manager both said that a rock hit my condenser and that it would not be covered under warranty (this is only within my first 2 minutes of arrival). I told them I would bring my car in to be fixed on Friday. After I left I called Honda and they gave me a case number and my case manager would call me. I received a phone call from my case manager on Thursday, June 28, 2007 and within the first two minutes he rejected me as well. That�s three people that told me the problem without even looking under the hood. The car is only TWO months old. I was brought in the service department and seen the pile of condensers that was just at that dealership. I was then advised to prevent this was to put chicken wire to prevent rocks from coming into my engine compartment. I dropped my car off on Friday and picked it up Monday, July 2, 2007. After I left the dealership I called to speak with the supervisor of my case manager. He told me the same thing as well as all the other employees. Everyone that I talked to from Honda has compared the condenser to a wind shield. It�s not the same thing, one is under the hood and the other has the word shield in it. I asked him is there an accessory to prevent this and he told me about the bird wire as well. But Honda can�t do anything like that because it might cause clogs. If I do the chicken wire, and something goes wrong than it will not be under warranty. So I feel like Honda is trying to get over on me again. I took pictures of the pile of condensers, as well as preventative measures those other corporations such as Nissan and Chevy that they took to prevent this problem. This is the second Honda I bought since 2002 and the 7th in my intermediate family. Not one person has offered any assistance to help me solve this problem accept for me to pay for it. I traded in a Nissan Titan to help me save money on gas and Honda stole two monthly payments from me. The day I bought my Civic my mirror was hanging by a wire which was fixed before I drove it off the lot. So this is the second problem I had with this car and my car is only TWO months old.
