car shakes shifting from 1st to 2nd at low speeds
If you have a lead foot, you may not notice this in your Civic, but I drive mine like it's on its last leg (probably a good idea, because it feels/sounds/drives like it has over 300k, but currently at 45k....go Honda!!!). Like all the other complaints I have listed, this one is intermittent as well, so... when you drive it in for service about this issue (and the littany of others), just when you WANT it to show itself, it does not, and you get the stare of "yeah right, it's all in your head, buddy..." look. Well, I just took it in again, and out of about 6 or 7 tries, I was able to reproduce the issue once, just enough for the service rep to notice. I just received a call yesterday, saying it was a defective torque converter and it is being replaced...yay!
However, being that this problem started around 23K, makes me feel uneasy about the longevity of my Civic, and whether or not I should keep it for the long haul, as was planned.
I am on the cusp of a paradigm shift with the Honda brand name.
