Clear coat failing in the area above the windshield, between windshield and sunroof. Car has always been hand-washed, however rarely garaged and we live in Southern California so it's pretty exposed to the sun. However, we now have equally old vehicles treated in the same manner that have not had this clear coat failure so we assume the paint is not quite as good on the Odyssey.

Odyssey Touring 3.5L V6

One month after the extended warranty ran out we noticed the clear coat paint on the front and back of roof peeling away. We immediately contacted the dealer, the district manager had us bring the car in for an estimate and now, a year later after call after call nothing. No return calls, no offers, no contact from the district manager. Completely unacceptable.

clear coat is breaking down

there is obviously some paint defect/low quality paint on certain area of the car: hood and roof. It looks like a very old car for a 2010. Very disappointing for a Honda. They would not even consider painting just the roof.

I can get photo of this problem and send in to you. I have tried many times to polish my Honda, but it still look bad. I had a small scratch repaired and it came out really good It shine . I ask the shop why the car would not shin and he showed it to me. The paint is orange peal and the only thing to do is try to compound it out or repaint it.This paint dose not look up to the standers of Honda and they should be ashamed of this auto.

clear coat is breaking down

our car is only 7 months old, and is kept in the garage. I know it does get normal wear and tare, but it could not hold up for more than 7 months,, that is totally unacceptable, i should have never bought another honda product, after the clear coat totally peeled of my 99 acura tl. I called the dealer and got the well if it is enviromental damage it is not covered, but bring it in and let us look at it. Which means you are screwed, paint the hood or let it go
