So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I have received 2 recall notices on my vehicle. I have contacted my dealer, Round Rock Honda, to schedule an appointment, they advised the soonest they could get the vehicle in is over 3 months from now. They claimed it is because the technicians have to be trained how to perform the recalls. However, the recalls are very basic. One is a simply a software upgrade, the other is checking to ensure the fuel is properly secured. I asked what if something actually broke on my car and if I would have to wait 3-4 months. They said no, they have reservation times for that, but they only allocate a certain portion of their reservations & service time to recalls. So the real reason they scheduled me so far out isn't due to training or actual capacity, its just not a priority.
