The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the liftgate had to be manually opened. The failure recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 15V393000 (structure), 15V509000 (visibility) and 15V461000 (equipment), however, the parts to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 17,500.
