Cherokee Limited Edition 2.0L

There's a noise coming from front of car in low gears. I put into our local Jeep dealership and they came back with transmission needs to be replaced for £11,000. We got the car at 6 months old with 7,000 miles on clock. It has been regularly serviced and is just turning 19,000 miles now. Jeep say it's out of warranty and they have no intentions of covering any of the cost to replace.

Cherokee Latitude V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

The car has been doing all of this since I purchased it 3 months ago. Car stalls and completely shuts off. Told its gas and not to fill up gas tank. Not sure how this affects the transmission. Car jerks into gear or right before shutting off. Shakes, is loud. Does this with or without filling up the tank. Car had barely half a tank when I purchased it and it did it then. The very next day. I have an extended warranty. And I believe the power train warranty still applies but they won't fix the problem. Keeps saying its not pulling or storing codes. Engine light and service transmission light comes on and stays on. Not on the next next. Hard starts. Trans is slipping.

Cherokee LX 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,500 miles

My 2014 Jeep Latitude just recently started having a whirring noise when in low gear, then this morning I noticed it continued until at about 60 mph it kicks down into drive. I don't seem to be able to attribute it to anything other than the transmission due to it's continuing until it shifts down at 60. Any ideas? I'm calling the dealership I purchased it used from 2 months ago as a used vehicle, and thank goodness I purchased a warranty with it.
