CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012 Grand Cherokee hasn't seen the same complaint volume as the 2011, at least not yet.

It's worth noting both model years are part of a class-action lawsuit that focuses on a defective TIPM and a long wait for replacement parts.

The 2012 also received national attention after it failed a Swedish Magazine's "moose test". The test measures a vehicle's ability to swerve out of the way of an obstacle you wouldn't want to hit while driving down the road ... like a moose.

Rear right tail light went out early 2016 - 2 light bulbs plus four diagnostic visits later, they finally replaced the whole rear tail light component and it has not happened again.

Headlight, driver side - two light bulb changes and two diagnostic visits where they reseat the connection - currently working.

Rear camera is reversed - Yes! the images on the left are on the right in reality. Dealer is stumped (Oh, and insists they did not cause it when it started the same day they fixes the rear tail light)...

The power locks are often delayed - this is not consistent and never happens at the garage. I press the lock button and 30 seconds later, the locks go down But the radio keeps playing for another 30 seconds -(it usually turns off after you open the door)
