CarComplaints.com Notes: On August 16th, 2012 Jeep stopped production of the the Jeep Liberty, marking the end of a troublesome journey for the SUV.

All in all, the 2012 Liberty actually excels off-road, but since 99% of drivers never take this thing off pavement, that becomes somewhat of a moot point. The Liberty suffers from the worst fuel economy in its class (16/22 MPG) and offers an uncomfortable ride with suspect braking ability.

Not having lights, wipers or blinkers made the Jeep undrivable. With only one car, made it very inconvenient for getting to work while it was fixed.

Occaisionally when I activate the turn signal, the winshield wipers will cycle a couple of times. The blue tooth does not stay activated or connected to my phone after repeated attempts at pairing. Last night I truned off the ignition. The parking lighs stayed on. When I tried to turn on the ignition again the engine would not start. I had to cycle the ignition switch a couple of times for the parking lights to turn off and the engine to start. I was at a remote rest stop in the mountains at 10:30 at night. No one else around and no cell phone coverage.
