I purchased this vehicle used and am the second owner...I had my vehicle garaged when at home and it must not of rained sufficiently to notice a leak until I took it through a car wash. I don't park in the garage anymore and have been experiencing more occurrences of dealing with the water leak.

The dealer I bought it from would not replace or repair it having been 30 days past purchase. It leaks into my headlamps and when it leaks from the front headlamp it also spills on my radio..causing my cd to stop working until it dries out...The ceiling in my car is getting stained...I am a separated from hubby gal and was making it on my own but not a lot of extra cash to fix problem..finances are better now so I will just take it to get it looked at.

Well I have had the problem for at least since 2011. It did not begin immediately after purchase or I would have taken it back under warranty. They say it is the drain hole in the roof that are clogged with dust, dirt, pollen etc. The solution they say is to clean out the holes, but where are they? Do they have a white paper on that. Will report at least 3-4 times a year.

Patriot Limited 2.4L 4 cyl

lf sunroof drain froze in the "drain trap" then leaked into dash. This is the same problem as back in August 2012. The Jeep Patriot sunroof was leaking onto the dashboard from the front interior light. Took to dealer and all they did was remove the headliner to find ice built up within the front of the headliner to thaw out or chip away the ice. Nothing done to correct future problems.
