I love my jeep don't get me wrong. But to call Chrysler and have them tell me yes there was a SAFETY RECALL on this part, but no your jeep specifically is not covered is a bunch of crap. If there is a safety recall done during a model year, to be safe a manufacturer should recall the entire year, not just pick and choose. My fiance has a Toyota Tacoma that they sent him a recall notice for that includes ALL of that model year for a safety recall just to be safe. I had a Honda that they did the same thing with. I kind of need my air bag to deploy when it is supposed to, and the clock spring on mine was obviously faulty so they should have paid to fix it. I am starting to rethink my love for Jeep.

Air bag light on, horn don't work! SAFETY concern big time!!!

Took in to be serviced and needs the clockspring replaced. Local Jeep dealer says there is still no recall but seems to think it will happen because they have been replacing a lot of them. He informs me if there is a recall I would get reimbursed, do I want to wait or get it fixed?

Come on Jeep....keep us Jeep lovers safe!!!

Just began researching this -- light for passenger airbag has been going off for just about over a year (is wife's car and I admittedly didn't delve into until horn stopped working).

My air bag warning light came on and stayed on or intermittently flashed on. It was my inspection month so it needed to be addressed right away or my vehicle would have failed state inspection. No car repair shop that I called would handle it; all referred me to the dealer. $660 later, I dislike the dealer a little/lot, more right now.

I have been reading about so many others with this make and model having the same issue and it is not covered under warranty. However, I read that right hand drive vehicles of the same make/model had their warranty extended for this problem. That doesn't sit too well!

My air bag light consistently turns on and off along with an annoying chime noise. Needs clocksprings recalled for all jeep jk models not just right hand drive.

Why is there a recall for right drive clock springs but not for left drive?? this is annoying, the dealership wants $400.00 to replace the defective part. I would assume the same crappy parts are put in both right and left drive vehicles. Do not buy a jeep. More problems to add to this site.

Have a bad Clockspring in the jeep. Horn don't work, Airbag light stays on and dings all the time, esp. when I turn or hit a bump. Jeep refuses to even work with me on this and says it's my problem to fix. They are no where concerned about my safety or the safety of others. No airbags, no horn??? That's no cause for concern??? $500 to fix it at a dealer... I'm furious and have filed a complaint with the NHTSB and I ask everyone else to do the same. There was a recall on the RHD models, Right hand Drive for the 2008 year, but not the LHD. I mean, really? They said they know of the problem and until forced to warranty it, they don't care. Very poor customer service, and I'll never buy another new Jeep again. I ask everyone to file a complaint also. Let's get or NHTSB on this and make Jeep fix this problem like they did for the RHD models...

They want $500.00 to fix a safety issue, this is not wear and tear. if everyone is having the same exact problem at the same mileage then there is reason and cause for action on the manufactures part.

My airbag light came on. Freaking out. Girl I work with has the same jeep.2008 jeep wrangler. They want over 400.00 to fix a spring that is apparently broken. How does a spring break in the passenger side which none ever sits in because it is a right hand drive work vehicle?I told the dealer this should be a recall issue because my co worker and another lady in a different office is having the same issue. He said well it's not. I said I am not paying to fix it. This vehicle is 2 yrs old and this is bull
