This problem started years ago. It happened once and I thought it may have been our bumpy old road. It happened again and I thought it was maybe the weather we were having. Then it happened on a warm dry evening on a smooth flat remote highway on a dark moonless night with several people in the car with me. That is when I realized this could be dangerous.The problem has steadily gotten worse. I believe this is a very serious issue. When headlights go out on a country hi-way where there are no street lights and no shoulder to pull over on it is not only scary but extremely dangerous . If there is a known problem with the LCM on these type of vehicles I would like to know about it. I think I will try to locate a replacement module and try it . If something happens in the meantime and I am still alive I will do my best to sue the blank out of everyone that is responsible that has any knowledge of an existing problem or high failure rate of such a critical system, unit or component. Its almost unbelievable that a company could knowingly ignore something so potentially dangerous. I will update this after I replace the LCM if I can find one.
