- the contact owns a 1997 Lincoln Town car. The vehicle was equipped with Michelin symmetry tires, P21570R1597sww. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph on the interstate, in clear weather, the tire failed, the whole sidewall was completely split open, there was no puncture in the tire, prior to the failure there were no problems with the tire. The contact believed the tire was defective, the failure mileage was 20-25,000. The vehicles current mileage was 62,000. The consumer stated the tires were replaced at costco cranberry twp.
