CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2009-2010 Maxima has an expensive problem where the steering lock prevents the car from starting, & costs upwards of $1,000 to fix!
As soon as the tow truck driver pulled in, he knew exactly what was wrong with it, without me even saying anything. This is obviously and ongoing problem. Even the Nissan dealership just happened to have a steering column and part for my particular problem. This should be recalled and I should be refunded for this issue. There are so many complaints about this. This is ridiculous. $1125 is crazy!
The customer service was/is appalling. The "girls" all read the same script when you call 800...the number provided. EYE CARUMBA the WORST customer service.
