It is ridiculous that the entire visor bar would need to be replaced. The car only had about 30,000 miles on it at the most when it started failing. In addition, this car was protected daily in an indoor garage. Visors would either not stay up, would fall while driving, would not hold up windshield shade, etc. After years of driving me crazy and it becoming a safety concern to have the visor suddenly obstruct my vision, I replaced it.
Both sunvisors keep falling down while driving. It is so obnoxious and can be dangerous because I can't see when it happens. I used to think that Nissans were reliable, but since this has happened--along with my door handle breaking and rearview mirror buttons popping off, I will never buy one again.

The driver side visor would no longer stay up. We have to either move it around to the driver door side or push it down to the windshield. It is especially cumbersome for me since I'm taller. This creates a safety issue for the drivers seeing to the side or to the front in normal driving conditions.
My first line of action was to purchase another visor but when I researched the internet to look for the part, there were more then a few forums indicating this is not an isolated incident with the Murano. I have not see a letter from Nissan issuing a recall/replacement for the visors; however, it is clear the visor is a defective item and with my own experience it is a safety issue. I am surprised a class action lawsuit for this problem has not been pursued since it's a widespread problem or a NHTSA bulletin issued.
First time every having a Visor issue! The thing will not stay up. Would not report, except found two other references to this occurring with other owners.

Annoying as hell. Fixed by opening the visor and clamping it with a small nut & bolt.
