The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a repair shop for an inspection when she was informed that the bolts that held the muffler in place were rusted. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer for a diagnosis. The dealer stated that the bolt assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there were no recalls addressing the failure. The failure mileage was 48,900 and the current mileage was 49,000.
