Was getting new tires and the TPMS was staying on. The tire dealer replaced all but the one that was rusted shut. Which is a recall on this but not in my State of Ky.

I received a recall form year 2016 and called my locale Nissan Dealer that I take my vehicle to. I was told that it was something to do with the tire sensor and if I had tires replaced it voided that recall. Upon talking to someone I found that's not true. The tire light sensor stays on all the time because no repair. I received another card from Nissan sometime this year and called and was told by the same dealer if they repaired because of the age of the vehicle I was taking a chance on them breaking something, not sure what and I would be responsible if they did. What kind of recall is that????

First occurrence of the TPMS light on, I took the 2009 Murano to Sears Tire to repair a flat. Sears installed a new TPMS "kit" in the RF tire. TPMS light was off for 2 days then back on. Returned to Sears and nothing was found and they re-synced the TPMS. This went on for four times. I took the problem to Brown's Nissan in Sterling VA and was told the LR TPMS unit had to be replaced. Cost $128 for the diagnosis. Was quoted $275 to do the work at the dealer.

Returned to Sears and told them the results of the dealer. Sears checked the TPMS system and it checked out okay. I asked the Sears Manager to telephone the Brown Nissan Service Assistant Manager to inquire what test was performed on the vehicle to indicate a problem with the LR tire. Finally, the Dealer's assistant service manager answered the telephone and the Sears Manager asked the question. The Dealer's assistant service manager told the Sears Manager to replace the LR TPMS unit and hung up.

I am driving the Murano with the TPMS light on, if I ruin a tire or tires, a lawsuit will be filled.
