Would like this fixed under company pay. Age is 78 and not getting a lot of money and to pay over $ 3000.00 on your SS is hard to have it fixed. And there is only 90,000 miles on the SUV. Will take it in to have the oil changed and have them check the Trans to see if the antifreeze is leaking into the Trans. So could you please help. Had to replace the A/C lines twice, Front seat motor, The wheel senso,rs about 5 to 8 times the A/C lines would rust under car where you have the lines bolted together. Tom

Update from Aug 25, 2017: Transmission and radiator was replaced it cost me $ 3200 the company put in the rest They would not reimburse me for the A/C lines

I'm super disappointed in Nissan and will definitely not considered buying another car from Nissan ever again. I know things happen and cars break, but not at this many miles. The company has definitely failed all their customers...

Pathfinder LE 4.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 91,000 miles

Started hearing a bit of slipping or vibration in my Pathfinder when traveling between 40-55 MPH. After reading about all the problems with transmissions took it to my local dealer for diagnosis. The dealer indicated that there was a problem either with the clutch plates or bearings which would require a complete new transmission (Nissan doesn't fix the problem area, they just replace the entire transmission).

They said that that although I didn't have the coolant contamination problem, I will in all likelihood get it and suggested I replace my radiator as a precaution. Total of $4700!

The service manager told me the problem was rare given the low miles and pristine condition of the vehicle and to contact Nissan customer service to see if they would help with the cost.

Having owned 6 different Nissans in the past 25 years, they thought it would be given serious consideration. Unfortunately, I was told by Nissan to basically buzz off. Needless to say this is the last Nissan I will ever own. Very disappointed that they treat long standing customers with such little regard or respect.
