CarComplaints.com Notes: There are no warning signs of the same "radiator leaked and killed my transmission" complaints that have plagued previous model years.

For earlier Pathfinder model years (2005-2008), a defect in the radiator allows engine coolant to leak into the transmission. However this defect doesn't appear to affect Pathfinders from 2009 & later. Nissan did include the 2009-2010 models when they extended their radiator warranty on 2005-2010 Pathfinders to 8 years/80,000 miles in response to the transmission defect.

Master cylinder went out unexpectedly almost causing an accident. Drove to mechanic for inspection. No outward leakage, assumption leakage somewhere inside. Replaced it with new part everything working properly. Attempted to contact Nissan via phone to their cooperate office. Got a person from the Philippines that could not really help Person kept telling me that since I took it to Sears Automotive to have it replaced, any warranty would be voided. When asked how would I drive an unsafe vehicle to a dealership (90 miles away, do not trust local dealership service), he stated tow it. I then called the dealership in which I purchased the vehicle. They said there were no recalls and it was out of warranty and gave me a number to call for North America Nissan. Called it and again went to the Philippines. Filed a complaint with them. No response so far.
