One day my car started acting up. I turned it on in the morning and it was hard to start. I eventually I got it to start, however it turned off by itself within 30 seconds of being turned on. Upon checking the engine, I noticed the battery terminals were extremely loose, and my check engine light had come on. I tightened them and the car worked normally for a few minutes. However shortly after it stalled when I was pulling out onto the road, nearly causing an accident.

The startup continued to be shaky and it would stall, however I could not take it into the shop yet so I continued to drive it for a few days until one day when I was driving to work it started sputtering and would not accelerate past 40 mph. This was scary as I had no place to pull over. The same night I took it to a shop and it was sputtering and stalling so badly and lacking acceleration I had to drive with my blinkers on. The shop replaced the throttle body twice, the battery, throttle gasket, and the air intake hose. They even took it to an actual Nissan dealer and not even the Nissan dealer could find the problem.

They connected it to many computers to try and diagnose the problem. Three weeks of this and $1300.00 dollars later they came to the conclusion that both of the computers were fried from the loose battery connectors (which Nissan had a recall on, however we didn't qualify for the free repairs due to mileage, and they wouldn't have fixed the subsequent damage anyway). It would have been $6000 to fix it so I just got a new car instead. I'm very disappointed in Nissan.
