Summary
SERVICE INFORMATION This bulletin provides recommendations for proper engine operation in conditions where the ambient temperature is around or below 0°C (32°F). NOTE - These recommendations are also found in the vehicle Owner?s Manual. - Always use the correct engine oil for the prevailing conditions. - Use an engine block heater (if so equipped) when the ambient temperature is at or below -18°C (0°F). - Engine block heaters are used to assist with cold temperature starting. - Some engine block heaters will operate continuously while plugged into the correct voltage electrical outlet. IMPORTANT: DO NOT use the engine block heater in temperature conditions at or above 0°C (32°F). Doing so may cause damage to the engine block heater. See this bulletin for further detail.
