The technician diagnosed that the front driver's side coil spring was corroded. The vehicle had not been repaired. Later, the contact mentioned that the failure became progressively worse causing the left ball joint and strut to fracture. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and refused to provide any assistance since the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.
