The contact managed to merge to the side of the road where the vehicle was towed to a private mechanic. The mechanic confirmed that the distributor had failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the issue. The failure and current mileages were unavailable. Updated 12/5/12 the consumer stated a sensor on the distributor was bad which caused the vehicle to stop running. Updated 12/10/12
