A small piece of debris hit my windshield near the wiper area going less than 40 mph and made such an impact that it left a large impact on the windshield. Within 2 seconds the entire windshield went from the impact point on the driver side all the way over to the passenger side. There was no fixing the windshield. As soon as impact occurs, it causes the glass to run across the entire windshield - this is not normal on any windshield I've owned. Any little stone or debris at low speeds will make the windshield crack where you are almost afraid to drive it on the highway in the event a bug hits it at 55mph.

While insurance covered the repair minus my deductible of $250 - the total cost was over $700 because of the recalibration of the camera that controls accident prevention, air bag deployment, etc. My insurance went up the following year. I am filing yet another claim because it happened again, this time at a lower speed and even smaller object. These windshields are crap.

I tried to file in the class action suit but my year was not included - it apparently since has been included, which I didn't know. At the time the attorneys in the class action suit called me and told me that Subaru was interested in hearing about my situation - do you think I ever heard from them? Absolutely NOT!!! Subaru needs to replace them with a better type of glass.

Had I known this would become a regular maintenance issue I would have never bought it. You can't drive around anywhere and not expect something to hit your windshield. If Subaru is so good a manufacturer - they need to step up to the late and correct this for us owners who have had to replace our windshield multiple times.
