We have a 1997 Camry with over 159000 miles on it and it runs great and every things is fine on the car besides the woar out seets. But the paint is getting really bad. The clearcoat is gone and it's just really starting to go downhill. The trunk, hood, rear bumper, and roof have the problem. I don't get it! every car we own has been garage kept, and washed and waxed, and on top of that we know two people that have the same year and color Camry, and the paint looks new still!!! The color of the car is antique sage(silver). This started happening about a year and a half to two years ago, and it started about looking faded and a little bit of clear coat coming up, but it is alot worse now. I talked to Toyota about it and they pretty much said there is no defect that they are aware of yet, so you are SOL!!!! It's going to cost around 3K at least to have it painted and painted right! So i guess i have to get it painted and have the auto shop do it right like Toyota should have done and I'm gonna have them do the clear coat in three coats.
