Power Steering fluid consistently leaked. When taken back to the dealer, they diagnosed it as a rack and pinion failure, requiring a replacement. Expected normal cost was ~$1,800, but was covered under a warranty.

Camry XLE V6

  • Automatic transmission

Yes this car only has 50,000 miles. I bought it used from an older couple who could no longer drive. I performed my own regular maintenance. Rotated Tires, Oil Change, Oil Filter Change, Air Filter Change, Topped Fluids, and replaced Wipers. Next day, puddle under the car and took it to a mechanic. Found out the Rack and Pinion System completely failed and was lucky I was not driving too much further. A complete replacement is needed to get the car back on its feet. From the sounds of past complaints, this should have been recalled a long time ago.
