Rear rotors were taken off to be shaved down to get rid of rust and grooves in the rotors. Rust and grooves were removed. A few weeks later I notice a quiet squeak that gradually grew into a really loud squeak! Rear rotors had grooves and more rust then before. This only occurred 2 weeks later after the shaving.
Brake pads are new all way round, new rotors in the front, no new rotors in the rear. Rear rotors look like they have been on the car for years!
The brakes on this car really sucks. I've taken it to 2 different shops (not dealer coz they charge way too much). Both shops resurfaced and installed an OEM for both the front jobs. That didn't solve the problem so the 2nd shop did some work on the rear brakes and that lasted a few months and now the stinking noise is back again. Just that the heck is wrong with this 2001 Toyota Camry LE? Does anyone have any similar problems with the brakes?
