Vehicle stalled at 60 mph. Dealer could not find a cause. The A/C and the fun selector malfunctioned, but the dealer was unable to fix it. The vehicle starts and stalls immediately. The dealer installed a new circuit opening realy and the problem was solved.

I drove the vehicle through a puddle and according to the dealership that caused the engine to hydro-lock. Now the vehicle needs a new engine and the warranty will not cover it. I don't have $4,000 to pay for it. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

When starting vehicle it back fires and will not start, it takes about 3 tries for vehicle to start, engine check light is on, consumer has taken vehicle to dealer 4 times, the spark plugs have been replaced, however the problem has not be resolved.

While driving 60-65 mph engine stalled, accelerator pedal went to floor. Dealer found accelerator cable had snapped. Consumer received recall 01V012000 a couple of days prior to this. Consumer indicated that letter did not state this recall was urgent. If it had, consumer would have gone straight to nearest Toyota dealership. Also, consumer would like to add that he received first class attention from dealer that repaired vehicle, who was not a selling dealer.

While driving the check engine light illuminated, the consumer immediately pulled over and checked all fluids, the consumer then took the vehicle to the dealer, the dealer was unable to find any problems but suggested that the vehicle must be scheduled for repair. Nlm
