Camry SE 2.5L

Started with the drivers door locking or unlocking intermittently now it has gone on to the passenger doors front and back.

Update from Mar 31, 2018: Now neither of the front doors lock or unlock using the keyfob and the back doors work intermittently.

Camry LE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 58,000 miles

First the passenger side stop unlocking with the key, then the back door on the passenger side now starting to fail on both doors on the driver side. Cost to fix $500 for each door. Only 60k miles as of today. Ridiculous! No after market motor either must by from Toyota.

Camry LE 2.5L

Bought this Camry certified used. Day 2. Driver side lock would not lock or unlock. Took it back. They could not replicate the problem after having the car all day. A few days later it happened again. Took it back. This time the lock did not work for them either so they replaced the actuator. Another 2 days later the passenger front door lock did the same thing. Back again to Toyota and they replaced the 2nd actuator. This was under warranty but the cost on the ticket was almost $500 to replace each actuator.

I also have an 04 Camry and it has never had this problem.
